Your Therapist at Stein Jamieson Therapy
Hi, I’m Maggie Stein Jamieson, a Registered Social Worker specializing in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and trauma-informed care.
I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and spent over seven years providing clinical services at an established DBT clinic before founding Stein Jamieson Therapy. I work with children, teens, adults, families, and athletes navigating complex emotional and relational challenges.
My style is active, collaborative, and grounded. I’m warm and direct, and I will challenge patterns when it’s clinically appropriate. Therapy with me is structured and purposeful, with attention to both emotional safety and meaningful change.
If you’re ready to stop just surviving and begin building something steadier, I invite you to reach out.

How We'll Work Together
What to Expect: Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’ve been struggling for a long time or have tried therapy before without relief.
1. Free Consultation
A 15–20 minute conversation to understand what’s bringing you to therapy, discuss whether my approach is a good fit, and answer initial questions.
2. Initial Assessment (1-2 Sessions)
We take time to understand your history, current challenges, goals, and supports. Together, we develop a plan that makes sense for your life.
3. Begin the Work
Sessions focus on building practical skills, addressing unhelpful patterns, and applying what you’re learning in real-life situations between sessions.
This work requires commitment — not perfection. A willingness to engage is enough to begin.
