Working at Stein Jamieson Therapy
Stein Jamieson Therapy is a values-driven, evidence-based mental health practice committed to thoughtful, ethical, and sustainable clinical work.
We support children, teens, adults, and families navigating complex mental health challenges, including emotion dysregulation, trauma, eating disorders, and relational distress. Our work is grounded in structure, collaboration, and respect for the complexity of human experience.
This is not a high-volume or productivity-driven practice. We prioritize quality of care, clinician wellbeing, and clinical integrity.
Working With Us
Stein Jamieson Therapy is growing thoughtfully and intentionally.
At this time, we are not actively hiring clinicians. When opportunities become available, they will be shared here.
If you’re interested in future roles and feel aligned with the values and approach of this practice, you’re welcome to check back or reach out with a brief expression of interest. All inquiries are reviewed with care.
Our Clinical Values
Clinicians who thrive here tend to share the following values:
People first. Clients are not problems to fix; they are people responding to real experiences.
Evidence matters. We work from established, evidence-based frameworks while applying clinical judgment thoughtfully.
Structure supports safety. Clear expectations, boundaries, and treatment plans are essential, especially in high-acuity work.
Honesty over performance. We value openness about uncertainty, limits, and learning edges.
Sustainable practice. Burnout is not a badge of honour. Good care requires supported clinicians.
Clinical Approach
The practice draws primarily from:
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and its adaptations
Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
Trauma-informed and attachment-based care
Structured, skills-based therapeutic frameworks
Clinicians are not expected to practice DBT exclusively unless hired into a DBT-specific role. What matters most is alignment with structured, evidence-based care and a willingness to engage in consultation and ongoing learning.
Who We’re Looking For
We are interested in working with clinicians who:
value structure and collaboration
are comfortable working with complexity and intensity
are open to feedback and consultation
practice within their scope and respect clinical boundaries
are committed to ethical, reflective practice
This practice may not be the right fit for clinicians seeking:
a purely unstructured or insight-only therapy model
minimal consultation or accountability
high-volume, rapid-turnover work
That clarity is intentional.
Supervision & Consultation Culture
Stein Jamieson Therapy places strong emphasis on consultation and support.
Depending on role, clinicians may receive:
individual supervision or consultation
access to DBT-informed consultation processes
support with case conceptualization, risk management, and systems thinking
The goal is not perfection, but sound clinical judgment over time.
Working Within a Team
Even when clinicians work independently, this is not a siloed practice.
We value:
respectful collaboration
clear communication
shared responsibility for clinical safety
thoughtful integration of individual and systems-level care
Clinicians are expected to engage professionally with colleagues, referral partners, and the broader care system.
A Note on Growth
This practice is growing intentionally and carefully.
Future clinicians may take on roles in:
individual therapy
group facilitation
consultation or training
program development
Growth here is paced, supported, and aligned with clinical readiness, not rushed.
